About Us
Why do we need another site about animals?
The purpose of this site is to educate people about mammals without a lot of technical details; serve as a sounding board for other peoples opinions and articles; create a community of mammal lovers; and lastly to promote global wildlife conservation efforts by raising money for ex-situ conservation efforts.
Ateeq has a desire to catalog and maintain a knowledge network of all the species of mammals known to us. A long time ago, in a land far away, I interned at this lovely place called Zoo Outreach Organization. I fell in love with the conservation effort that the little place was trying to contribute towards. I had made a promise to myself that I would get into this business sooner or later. It has been 14 years but the flame has not been extinguished.
Please write to us and let us know what you think of the site. We would love to hear ideas and suggestions for improvement. We would also welcome any new tidbits of information that you would like to share about your favorite mammal.
